It was such a beautiful day today and Sunday, Mother’s Day, promises to be lovely, too. We were busy all day and in late morning, during one of the busiest times, the Audubon Birding group came. We didn’t mind the interruption because we always learn something from this group of dedicated birders. They come from all over the state on the second Saturday in May to count birds on International Migratory Bird Day! We were so excited to tell them that we had seen a Rose-breasted Grosbeak here and then they saw both the male and female! Before they left they said that that made their day. Here’s a picture of the male Rose-breasted Grosbeak at the feeder.
We are open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday in May and June, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.
